Contemporary English Department

We grant degrees to students who fulfill the requirements below and who complete the required number of course credits.

Students should gain and integrate application skills for English communication (reading, writing, listening, speaking) and will be able to use them accordingly.
Students should take a global viewpoint and gain abundant knowledge about various regions and countries’ languages, cultures and societies.
Students should acquire skills and professional knowledge in the fields of “English business,” “airlines and tourism hospitality,” “interpretation and translation,” “English professions.”
In addition to the above, students should integrate and make use of knowledge and skills through project, internship, graduate research, study abroad courses. Through this, skills necessary in modern society such as comprehension skills, critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, initiative, leadership skills, cooperation, communication. International Communications Department

We grant degrees to students who fulfill the requirements below and who complete the required number of course credits.

Master and integrate the fundamental skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking) of German, French, Chinese, Korean, Japanese (International Students) and be able to make full use of it in real society, accordingly.
Students will study European, Asian, and Japanese History, Culture, and Society and deepen their understanding of the various possibilities and significance of cultural diversity.
In addition to the above, students should integrate and make use of knowledge and skills through project, internship, graduate research, study abroad courses. Through this, skills necessary in modern society such as comprehension skills, critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, initiative, leadership skills, cooperation, communication. ・Students should be able to understand history, society, and nature, and explain them in relation to oneself.
・Students systematically understand professional skills and be able to apply them in practice.
・Students understand variety and characteristics of options for their future and are able to effectively apply them for themselves.

・Students are able to critically analyze information and knowledge from various points of view.
・Students are able to make appropriate judgements according to various situations through critical thinking.
・Students are able to identify problems, gather, analyze, and organize the information necessary to solve them, and arrive at a solution for the problem.

・Students are able to make their own judgements and independently and proactively take action.
・Students are able to interact with foreign cultures with a profound sense of understanding and empathy.
・Students are able to proactively participate for the development of society, as a member of that society.

・Students are able to cooperate and coordinate with others to achieve a goal.
・Students are able to express their goals and gain cooperation from others to achieve their objectives.
Effective communication skills
・Students are able to correctly establish a mutual understanding in Japanese. Students are also able to logically express themselves, accurately present, and hold discussions.
・Students are able to accurately communicate using at least one foreign language.
・Students are able to use information and communications technology to gather, analyze, and effectively use various information.
