I studied Engineering and then worked as a technician for a tourism charter company. I was given an opportunity to join the management team and eventually became the state and then regional manager. I worked in several places in Australia including Sydney, Perth, Darwin and Alice Springs (near Ayers Rock!). I decided to come to Japan because I was always interested in Japan. I had visited Japan twice (2001 and 2002) before deciding to live here in 2005. Teaching English is a great experience as it allows me to meet new people, help them to improve their English, and create new opportunities for themselves.
