To our students:

Hello! I am Tetsuro Konishi, a chaplain and professor of the study on Christian religion. How are you? Let me talk to you by quoting some biblical passages.

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge" (Proverbs 1.7).

I believe this wisdom must be true. If you gain all knowledge but fear not the LORD, your knowledge is worse than useless. Then, first of all, let us learn to fear the LORD.

Now St.Paul says in his letter to the Romans:

"how are they to call on one in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in one of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone to proclaim him unless they are sent?"(10.14,15).

Yes. To tell you about Him. For this purpose I am here in this university, I think. That is, to bring the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, the most important among all the subjects.

In addition the Bible says in another passage:

"Remember your creator in the days of your youth" (Ecclesiastes 12.1).

I agree with the Teacher, the writer of the saying above. Do remember Him and go to see Him as soon as possible. The sooner the better, and happier your life will be. Then where can we see Him? You may find the answer in the Bible itself:

"Come and see" (John 1.39).
