Spring 2013 study abroad orientation continued this Sunday and Monday with an overnight trip to the Unzen national park and hot springs. 35 international students were joined by Japanese students and International Center staff and faculty on the two-day course.

The first day of the trip included visits to Shimabara Castle and Buke-yashiki former samurai residences, as well as dinner, hot springs, and karaoke at the luxurious Unzen Kyushu Hotel. On the second day, students toured the Unzen geyser basin, climbed Mt. Fugen, and relaxed in Japan's largest foot bath in the town of Obama.

Orientation continues tomorrow with Conversation Partner meetings and Wednesday with a university-wide Entrance Ceremony and individual course registration guidance.
