NICS: Nagasaki International Communication Studies

Nagasaki International Communication Studies (NICS) is a Japanese language and culture study abroad program for international students whose universities participate in exchange agreements with Nagasaki University of Foreign Studies. Most classes are conducted in Japanese.

The program is intended primarily for students who are studying Japanese language and culture at Asian partner universities. For classes taught primarily in English, a separate JASIN program is available for short-term international students from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, France, and other countries.

The study period is for six months or one year, and students may enroll in either the Spring (April-August) or Fall (October-February) semesters. All classes in the NICS program are conducted on the campus of Nagasaki University of Foreign Studies.
