The Media Center Research and Education serves as a central resource for information and library materials, is concerned with the use, management and operation of equipment and facilities related to processing of information and communication systems and multimedia information networks on campus, and is intended to contribute to university education and research. The Center also manages the library collection and academic materials, as well as other library business. The audiovisual information branch (Education Support Office) supervises education and information activities pertaining to the campus information network and multimedia processing equipment facilities.
Responsibilities
(Library Branch)
(1) Acquire, organize, and store library materials required for learning and teaching research
(2) Provide information and circulation of library materials for teachers and students
(3) Maintain a centralized collection of information needed for education and research
(4) Initiate exchange and provide mutual assistance in using library materials and information between outside agencies
(5) Support the publication of University faculty research papers
(6) Oversee other matters related to academic information and library materials
(Audiovisual Information Branch)
(1) Manage and administer GAIN
(2) Support computer-based education and information processing
(3) Support the use of multimedia equipment as audio-visual teaching aids
(4) Provide database management and administration of construction and materials for education and research
(5) Manage and implement research on the use of multimedia equipment for teaching
(6) Hold training sessions and workshops on computer processing and use of the media center
(7) Maintain multimedia classroom and teaching equipment
(8) Support the computerization of university administrative departments
(9) Administer any other matters necessary for the success of the audiovisual branch

The Cultural Center, an auxiliary attached to the University, is intended to contribute to the community by exposing international research and providing training on international cultural activities to the general public. The Center manages lectures, summer language courses, symposiums, concerts, as well as meetings on international art appreciation and language examinations. The Center has cooperated with various departments and course and has conducted numerous public lectures featuring experts from various fields. Cultural Center programs are open to University students, faculty, and the general public.
